Both supported iPad configurations, side by side, with every accessory and what it's for.
Scribble supports two iPad configurations. Both work for the full curriculum. The M-series setup is recommended for the smoothest inking experience.

Why the M-series is recommended
The M2 chip (or above) makes inking feel instant. The latency between Pencil tip and on-screen stroke is below the threshold where it's noticeable. On the A16, inking is good but not as imperceptibly snappy.
For pilot programs that need a single shipping configuration, we ship the M-series setup.
Spare pen tips
Included in the Apple Pencil Pro case shipped with pilot kits:
- LHS (left-hand side) tips — recommended. Give a ballpoint-pen feel against the paper-feel screen protector.
- Original Apple Pencil tips — backup. Use when LHS tips run out.
Pen tips wear out faster than people expect. Plan to swap tips a few times per student per year. Contact support@usescribble.com if you run out.
What you don't need
- No keyboard. Scribble doesn't use one.
- No mouse. Scribble is touch + Pencil only.
- No external monitor.
- No printer, paper, or workbook. The curriculum lives in the app.
- No special Wi-Fi setup. A normal home or school Wi-Fi connection is enough.
Charging strategy for classrooms
For a classroom of iPads:
- Charge overnight. Both the iPad and the Apple Pencil should be on chargers when the school day ends.
- For Pencil Pros, remove all grips before parking on the iPad's magnetic strip for overnight charge.
- Have a small number of spare Apple Pencils and adapters in case one gets damaged.
