Dashboard Tour

A guided tour of every dashboard surface by organization type — family, non-Alpha school, and Alpha school.

The web dashboard is for owners and admins. Members (students) do not see the dashboard. The surfaces you see depend on which organization type you're in.

Common to every organization

These pages appear regardless of organization type:

  • Students — list of every student profile in the organization, with each student's last-practice date, current streak, and today's XP at a glance.
  • Student detail — open a single student to see full reports: XP, streaks, LPM, legibility, attempt outcomes, daily breakdown, current curriculum position.
  • Settings — organization-wide settings: default daily XP goal, practice days.
  • Billing (owner only) — family profile purchases or school contract billing details.

Family-specific

For family accounts, the dashboard adds:

  • Adding profiles lives on Students. Tap Add student to buy access for another child through Stripe Checkout.
  • Members is light — typically just the owner and any invited co-parent admins.

Non-Alpha school-specific

For non-Alpha schools, the dashboard adds:

  • Members — invite other teachers and admins. Manage who has admin access to the dashboard.
  • Roster controls on Students — bulk-friendly profile creation, archive, and unarchive.

Alpha school-specific

For Alpha schools, the dashboard adds:

  • Alpha → Linkage — see which Timeback students are linked to Scribble profiles.
  • Alpha → Courses — see which Alpha courses are wired to Scribble, with aggregate progress per course.
  • No manual student CRUD — students come from Timeback, not the dashboard.

What every surface does (and doesn't) do

Every dashboard surface explains server truth. It does not let you rewrite that truth. The dashboard:

  • Shows what the student actually did.
  • Lets you change a small set of settings (daily goal, practice days, members).
  • Does not let you edit XP, streaks, attempts, or curriculum position.

If something looks wrong in a report, the answer is to dig into what actually happened, not to "fix" the number. See Progress looks wrong.

Switching between organizations

If you're in more than one organization, the active organization shows in the top-left. Tap it to switch. See Switching organizations.
