Multiple Adults in a Family
Invite a second parent or guardian as an admin. They get full dashboard access without creating another student purchase.
You can invite a second adult — a spouse, grandparent, or co-parent — to share dashboard access. They get their own sign-in and can manage profiles and view reports.
Roles for adults
There are two adult roles in a family account:
- Owner: The original account creator. There is one owner. Owners control billing.
- Admin: Any additional adult you invite. Admins can do everything the owner can do except change billing.
A second adult is added as an admin. Adult accounts are separate from student-profile purchases.
Inviting an admin
- Sign into the dashboard as the family owner.
- Open Settings → Members.
- Tap Invite admin.
- Enter the second adult's email and send the invite.
- They receive an email with a sign-in link. The first time they sign in, they confirm the invite.
What an admin sees
An admin sees the same dashboard as the owner — all student profiles, all reports, all settings except billing.
On iPad, an admin can sign in with their own email and pick any student profile in the family.
Removing an admin
To remove an admin, go to Settings → Members and tap Remove next to their name. They lose dashboard access immediately. The student profiles are unaffected — they belong to the family, not the admin.
The owner can't be removed
There's always exactly one owner. If you need to transfer ownership (for example, between co-parents), contact support@usescribble.com.
