Billing and Renewal

What you pay, how long access lasts, refunds, and what happens at the end of the year.

Scribble family billing is a one-time Stripe payment per student profile. There is no subscription, no auto-renewal, and no recurring charge in v1.

What you pay

  • $1,000 for your first student profile.
  • $500 for each additional profile in the same family.

You pay for each profile when you add it. Discounts or waitlist codes may reduce the amount you pay at Stripe Checkout, but the standard family price stays the same.

How long access lasts

Each profile's access lasts one year from that profile's purchase date. Profiles expire independently. If one child is added later, their access window starts later.

If access expires, the profile stops appearing as available on iPad until you buy access for that same student again. The profile's progress and history stay in the dashboard unless you ask us to delete them.

Refunds

We offer a 7-day, no-questions-asked refund from the purchase date. Refunds are processed through Stripe for the actual amount paid after any discount.

To request a refund, email support@usescribble.com from the address on your account. We do not require a reason.

Renewal

There is no auto-renewal right now. If you want to continue after a profile's one-year access window, you explicitly buy another one-time access period for that same student.

Closing your account

If you want to close your family account entirely, contact support@usescribble.com. We'll archive all profiles and confirm in writing.

Archived isn't deleted

Archiving keeps the progress data in your account in case you come back. It does not create a reusable paid seat or transfer access to another child. If you want everything deleted permanently, say so when you contact us — we'll do a full deletion.
